Marathon ME880 - A total waste of money! By Schafer riding a Harley Davidson 2001 Dyna FXDL Custom
April 14, 2012

Pros:

Cons:

I purchased the Metzeler ME880 140/90/16 for my Harley. At 4000 miles, the sidewalls separated and there is a crack all the way around. I would STRONGLY suggest that nobody buy these. They are unwilling to give customer service, and frankly for that type of money I expect better service. If you would like to see the photo's, please email me and I will be happy to send them. Please pass the word around to others. jessica_perara@yahoo.com or schafer_lee@yahoo.com.

April 13, 2012

Cons:

Hello All, Just replaced my Metzeler ME880, cos a huge chunk of tread came out! nice canvas though!! Thank goodness I check my tyres before every ride, at 57 years of age a accident is not an option.

Cons:

Hugh Chunk of the rear tire (about a 4x6 piece) came out of my tire while riding. The tire didn't blow, thank goodness. Has this happened to anyone else?

Pros:

Long lasting tire! For commuting, they are great. Decent wet weather traction as well.

Cons:

Be careful of the tire on max lean angle. If you are riding a lighter bike, the tire might break free.

Pros: Tire seems to be lasting forever. extra stable when riding with a loaded bike.

Cons:

It is like driving on a dirt track when you try to power threw a corner. They seem fine when coasting put any aggressive riding and traction in the corners is not great. i know that this could be some due to the weight of my bike. I won't buy another pair.
