Z-6 & Z-8 are both excellent tires. |

As the Z-6's wear half way though their life cycle their performance starts to suffer especially felt when making slower turns I have not noticed this with the Z-8's their handling & feel stay strong all the way thought their life cycle. The Z-6 rear was gone at 6500 and the Z-8 appeared to have another 1000+ miles when I retired it at 6500 miles. |

| I have used Z-6's for many miles and have like them until the Z-8's came out. The Z-8 is a better tire overall and will out last the Z-6 on the rear but not the front. The placement of the Sipes on the front start to cup too soon in their life cycle The Z-6 up front is an excellent handling & mileage tire. The combo that I've found works very well is a Z-6 front and Z-8 rear they work very nicely together. I just put on a set of Michelin RP-2 I'm liking them a lot but do not have enough miles on them to know if they are, in my opinion, a better choice than the Z-8 which I like very much.Time & miles will tell the story. I ride solo weight 160 lbs with riding gear and run 36F & 38R PSI. Pressure is checked before every ride. |

| After having it happen to me, I have since read on the net that the Rear Z6 will go from looking good to down to cords in one day. This is partly due to no tread in the center to give you a real indication of how much life is left. Partly due to it's construction. I had a Dunlop wear through the tread, but instead of getting down to the belts right away, I could see the carcass rubber before that stage to alert me a new tire was needed. |
