Good Tyre by Paul riding a Aprila Tuono
July 21, 2009

Pros: Grip

Cons: Square off

Overall I like these tyres. Ridden hard on a torqey V twin, never had a moment, ever. However the rear squared off during a 300m motorway journey home from Scotland, and the profile never recovered, so they were dead in sports tyre life expectancy. Handling characteristics are excellent for the road , tipping in very easily and very stable on the edge. Due to squaring off I have bought another rear to finish the front off, but will not buy the same again - I'll be getting Michelin 2ct, as they retain profile. In line with another review, I alos found the front wore extremely well in the centre but scrubbed the sides off. A very good tyre for the road, much better than a sports tyre, warms fast grips like hell, doesn't lose heat quickly, will grip better therefore in real world conditions than a 'sporty' tyre, however other 'sports touring' (ie road) rubber will last longer for similar performance now that the Contis have increased in price. Buy Michelin.

Pros: Great grip wet or dry. Instills confidence when cornering all the way to peg-scraping. Good road feedback without juddering. Very sexy swoosh tread pattern!

Cons: Back tire squared off quickly, wore down very fast. Wear bars hard to read -- little warning before breaking through to steel belts.

Great tire for the SPORT side of Sport/Touring. Excellent grip, but at the expense of longer wear.

Pros: Replaced Metzler and Dunlop. Bike got badly pushed around and very quirky after 4 to 5000 miles under gusty side wind conditions on both of these. The Road Attacks were suggested by my cycle shop and have been just great. Every bit as good in wet as the others, better cornering, and stable in side wind gusts. They are probably good for a couple of thousand more miles and were 25% less in original cost. This is my tire

Solid Tire With Good Tread Life by Tom Laux riding a Honda ST1300
December 28, 2008

Pros: The tires handled very well in the twisties. Had complete confidence that they would stick. Wet weather performance was also very good. No worries when it rained. Tire life was good for a tire that handled like these did.

Cons: Seemed to square off somewhat easily but overall a very good tire.

The rear worked very well. Took the Total Control course and was able to scrape the pegs with these tires. Rode to the cords which was not a real good idea. Never had any issues with the tire losing traction or skidding on quick stops. Used the tires on both long, highway rides and also somewhat agressive riding in the twisties. Performed well under both situations. Tire life seemed to be pretty solid for a tire that sticks like these do. Got the tires from Two Brothers. Very quick delivery and great service.

Great Tires by Tony Mancuso riding a CBR600RR
March 7, 2010

Pros: Sticks well and lasts forever

Cons: Can't find any

I am not the most aggressive rider in the world but what I asked these tires to do they did. Some of my more extreme friends rode the bike and they loved the tires. They thought they were sport tires not ST. I will always buy these tires. And they last forever!

Cons: Seemed to square off somewhat easily. As the tire got on in age did not feel totally comfortable with the front.

Didn't think the front worked as well as the rear. I also replaced the front before I needed to because I was switching to another brand (Roadsmart). Not real keen on miss-matched tires for some reason.
