Pros: |
When I bought this bike, it had 2900 miles on the odometer. At 7850 the rear tire was shot, the front could have gone another 2500/3000 miles. I think the first owner put a hard 2900 miles on, heavy throttle hand. I replaced with the same D220 Dunlops. I think I will get better mileage out this set. I can scrape the pegs with no feeling of slippage or sliding. They instill confidence whether on straight or twisting roads. |
| |
|
Cons: |
Non I can think of at this time. I will know more about the mileage factor with continued riding. |

Pros: |
Stick very well. Were reasonable cheap. |
| |
|
Cons: |
Wore out very quickly. At 3000 miles I was down to the carcas rubber in the middle of the rear. |

Rider Reviews

Pros: |
I use my ZG1000 for touring purposes in New Zealand, which has plently of twisty roads. The Dunlop 220 front tire held the corners well in dry and wet conditions, and the harder compound in the centre of the tire lasted reasonably well (about 11000 miles). |
| |
|
Cons: |
However, the softer compound on the sides of the Dunlop 220 worn quickly and cupped, which made steering wobbly. |
| |
|
|
|
| As a two-compound front tire I think there must be something better. Next time, I will consider buying a Michelin Power Road 2. |

Cons: |
Wore out way too fast. |

|
| I replaced the front the same time as the rear. The rear was completely gone. The front had a few miles left in it but not many. |
