Pros:

Love the sticky grip. Wet weather is excellent. Should have about another 2000 more miles I think.

Pros:

Good handling wet & dry. I like the turn in feel of the PR2's. About 5k miles were 2 up fully loaded and handling felt the same as solo.

Cons:

None really for me.

Michelin Pilot Road 2CT By Michael Mathiesen riding a Suzuki GSXR 1100
April 18, 2009

Pros:

-Incredible Tire Life -Outstanding Turn-in, stability, and traction mid-corner. -Quiet

Cons:

None.

These are the best street tires I have ever used, bar none. I'm a Michelin guy at heart, and have spent the majority of my life on Michelin Pilots of one variety or another. In the last five or six years, I've run Michelin Pilots, Pilot Powers, Pilot Races, Pilot Power 2CTs, and Bridgestone BT-012s. The Bridgestones were my attempt at "something different". They were different- they caused my first ever street crash. After that, I went back to Michelins. I'll put it simply- the Pilot Road 2CT is all the tire you'll ever need. Unless you are a professional roadracer, this is a better tire than you are a rider, and yet it has the wear characteristics of a sport-touring compound. I ride this bike to work daily, and on the weekends I make trips up tight twisty roads. I've gone so far as to do a trackday with the folks from Keith Code's Superbike School (including Dylan Code) on these tires. They still look brand new and ride exactly the same as they did when first scrubbed-in.

Pros:

Tires are excellent in the wet and dry, Instills confidence no matter wht the weather. Hard center for the long hauls, and soft sides for the Alpine roads.

Cons:

Price, but they are worth it.

Pros: These are the longest and best wearing tires I've ever had. I rate them excellent in all conditions.

I just took off a set of PR2s that got between 14000-14500 miles on them and just barely at the wear bars. Most of the miles were on interstates and some twisties. I'm on a set of Roadsmarts now and unless they are stellar, I'll go back to the PR2s when done.

Ive had the oems prs and pr2s. So far i'm liking the PR2s the best. About 10000 miles and they're just starting to square off. PRs went about 8000 in the same conditions and looked worse. Mostly commuting one up rider weight 165 5% two up pillion weight 116. Depressing lack of twisties. 42psi and I would say they are superior to both in dry and wet conditions. Next set will likely be PR2s.

Pros: They feel planted in the corners and stable on the interstate.

$294/set from Two Brothers. I really like the PR2's. I ride 15-20k a year with about half of that 2 up fully loaded. I accelerate fairly quickly from starts but I am very easy on stops. I ride in all temps and mostly in the Southeast. I believe I will get 12 - 14k out of them.
