Overall Review
The Continental ContiAttack SM is specifically designed for supermoto riding. The tire provides strong grip at the expense of tire life, so if grip is the priority then this tire is worth trying. A number of riders prefer the ContiAttack SM over the Michelin Pilot Powers. Avon Distanzia tire was preferred over the ContiAttack SM.
Reviews by Source
One rider says the ContiAttack SM is miles ahead of ContiForce SM. Another rider says the tires are ready to go pretty much right after install, not much of any scrub in needed, tear up and spit rubber off on hot days and grip very well, don’t last real long. Another says the ContiAttack SM does not perform as well as dedicated race tires, but will perform better than any street tire option. Another says they don’t handle well in the rain, got about 1500 miles from the rear, plan on 2 rears to 1 front. Another rode the ContiAttack at the gap, was able to push hard within a couple of turns, heat up fast, did notice some chatter from the front in down hill turns.
One rider likes the ContiAttack SM over Michelin Pilot Powers as far as grip. One rider who has tried all the tires likes Avon Distanzia’s as the best all around tire – rain, track, dirt, heat.
One rider says Pilot Power is a good value, ContiAttack SM for traction over tread life, Avon Distanzia not as durable as Pilot Power – next tire was going to be ContiAttack SM. Another used Pirelli Corsas and likes the Avon Distanzias because they last longer.
