The Metzeler ME 888 is rated similarly to the ME 880 it replaces. Generally positive reviews as a cruiser tire. Better than stock Harley Davidson Dunlop tires. Consistent complaints that wet handling is not the best.

12 reviews. 4.8 of 5 stars. On a Road King Standard – much better than stock Dunlops, ride is much better. On a Road Warrior – was able to ride it flat at 70 mph, very strong sidewall. Another says much better than Harley Davidson Dunlop tires.
42 reviews. 4.7 of 8 stars. On a 2011 Voyager – expect to get the same mileage as the ME 880. On a Road King – most stable tire that have used on a Harley, wet handling is very good. On a 1600 Road Star – got 8,200 miles out of the rear. On a Road King – had less than 100 miles on tire and had to get on brakes, rear gripped very well. Another got 8,500 miles from the tire and was disappointed, feels there are longer life options out there. Another feels the ME 880 was a better wet tire than the ME 888. Another says these tires are come of the worst wet tires they have used.
